  • Leaf burn on durian trees is caused by the fungus Rhizoctonia solani. The fungus grows and produces many fungal nodules at the most suitable temperature of 28 °C. Fungi grow poorly at 35 °C and stop growing at 100 °C. Leaf blight occurs a lot in the rainy season or when there is a lot of fog and the ambient temperature of the durian garden is low, with poor drainage creating favorable conditions for fungal growth.
